Technical Telesales Agent – Fibre Internet Solutions

 

Employment Type: 3 Months Contract (Extension based on performance)

Start Date: ASAP

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound and inbound calls to sell fibre internet products and services.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
  • Clearly explain fibre broadband features, performance benefits, and infrastructure details to customers.
  • Use CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Perform coverage checks and guide customers through service availability.
  • Assist customers with pre-installation technical queries (e.g., router compatibility, internal cabling, ONT setup).
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities (e.g., routers, add-ons, static IP).
  • Handle objections and close sales in a professional, consultative manner.
  • Collaborate with technical support and provisioning teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, products, and competitor offerings.

 

Key Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Required)
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Telecommunications, or related field (Preferred)
  • Sales certifications or technical support training is a plus

Experience

  • 2+ years of telesales or call centre experience (Required)
  • 1+ year of experience selling technical products or internet services (Preferred)
  • Experience in telecommunications or ISP sector is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of fibre broadband technology and how it compares to ADSL, LTE, etc.
  • Familiarity with networking terms: bandwidth, latency, contention, upload/download speeds
  • Ability to explain technical terms to customers with varying levels of knowledge
  • Knowledge of routers, Wi-Fi performance, and home/business networking basics

Sales & Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong sales orientation with proven track record of meeting targets
  • Ability to listen, understand, and tailor technical solutions to client needs
  • Skilled in handling objections and closing deals confidently

 Systems Knowledge

  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Comfortable working with VoIP systems, softphones, and ticketing platforms
