Job Purpose:

To generate quality leads and close sales through outbound telephonic communication with potential and existing clients. The Telesales Consultant is responsible for meeting sales targets, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective clients to sell Short-term Insurance

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs.

  • Identify customer needs and offer appropriate solutions/products.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of calls, sales, and customer interactions using the CRM system.

  • Follow up on leads and referrals promptly and professionally.

  • Stay up to date with product knowledge and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure full compliance with FAIS and FICA regulations during all sales processes.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support during and after the sales process.

  • Contribute to team collaboration and continuous improvement efforts.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) – Essential

  • Regulatory Exam (RE5) – Essential

  • FAIS Accredited Qualification – NQF Level 5 (e.g., in Wealth Management, Financial Planning, or related) – Essential

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a telesales or call centre sales environment (preferably within financial services or insurance)
